Cece’s journey hasn’t been easy, but her spirit is shining through, and she’s ready to meet the family who will love her forever.

This beautiful 8-month-old Yellow Lab was found hiding under a car, terrified and completely shut down. She was brought to the county shelter where fear consumed her. She wouldn’t move, eat, or even lift her head. When she joined our foster-based rescue, she remained frozen in fear for over a month, unable to stand or walk. Cece had survived something awful, and it left a deep scar on her trust.

But Cece’s story is one of quiet, powerful resilience.

With the help of a professional behaviorist and the loving guidance of social dogs in her trainer’s care, Cece slowly began to bloom. Today, she plays with other dogs, walks around the yard, and is starting to experience the world with curiosity and joy. Her transformation is nothing short of miraculous and she's almost a normal, happy dog.

Cece will always need a little extra understanding and care, which is why we're looking for a very special home for her:

? A securely fenced yard (no invisible fences or apartments)
? A friendly, playful resident dog to continue guiding her
? Willingness to maintain ongoing support with her trainer during her transition (the trainer she's currently living with)

This is Cece’s safety net—one that has helped her heal, and one that will ensure she continues to thrive as she adjusts to a new home.

Cece is wonderful with dogs, respectful with cats, and gentle around kids. She’s house trained, fine being crated (though she doesn’t need it), and can be trusted loose in the home. She’s quiet, sweet, and endlessly grateful.

Cece is looking for someone patient, kind, and committed. Someone who sees her past, respects her journey, and is excited to help her grow into the confident dog she’s meant to be.
