Adult Male Black & Tan Coonhound Mix - Pinetops, NC

Sweet Cyrus is a gentleman. A laid back hound who was abandoned with a group of his hound friends who then quickly faced an uncertain future at a high kill shelter in North Carolina before being rescued by our private rescue. Cyrus is now in foster care where he is learning how to be a dog! It took some time for him to open up and trust people after being dumped like trash, but he is becoming quite the love bug! His tail is usually wagging instead of being tucked between his legs and he likes to wrestle and play with the other dogs in his foster home. Cyrus is a bed hog and loves to sleep in the bed, but is also content to sleep on a dog bed as well! He is crate trained, seems to be house trained, and has a very laid back energy level right now, but is blossoming more and more each day.

Cyrus is a medium size at ~50lbs and is estimated to be about 5 years old.

Cyrus is located in a foster home. We are happy to coordinate a meet & greet for pre-approved adopters.
