Overall, Link is a sweet boy who loves to be with his people and aims to please. He is very smart, food motivated and really loves training. He catches onto concepts quickly and retains what he is learning. He is VERY dog social. He lives with a consistently rotating pack and has done well with everyone. He is appropriate with small dogs, females, and intact males. He tends to match energy well. He can get a little rowdy, but responds really well to boundary corrections and guidance from his handler. He has lived with multiple cats. He settles well in the house with direction. He often lays at my feet with a bone. He loves a dog bed or place cot, and tethers like a pro.

Link is (my best guess) a shepherd mix. He can be a bit neurotic about certain things, and at 7 months old needs a lot of guidance and firm boundaries. He CANNOT be left alone in a wire crate. He is currently housed in a high anxiety/heavy duty crate and we are still working through some temper tantrums. He will nuisance bark incessantly when crated, and wears a bark collar due to these behaviors. He is slowly improving, but will need strict and understanding management in his adoption placement. A heavy duty crate can be provided to his adopter if they do not already have one.

He has some (fake) human reactivity, heavily based in insecurity. Given his breed and age, this is common but should not go unchecked moving forward.

He lives in a modified board and train setting currently. He goes on public outings with my training clients, as well as pack walks and adventures with my personal dogs. Our trainer has started e collar training with Link and he is loving earning off leash privileges. He is well on his way to being fully off leash reliable. He is thriving in this type of lifestyle.

Link is a really fun young dog with a ton of potential to be a great dog for the right person. He needs someone who prioritizes training as a lifestyle, someone who understands that not all dogs are couch potatoes, someone who will provide structure and give him plenty of physical outlets.
