Pooh Bear. Pooh. Poopy. Whatever nickname you give him, one thing’s for sure—this little guy will steal your heart.

Pooh Bear is pure joy in dog form. Picture Happy from the Seven Dwarfs, and you’ve got the right idea. He’s delighted by just about everything: tasty treats, soft naps, belly rubs, canine companions, kind humans, and life in general. He’s never met a stranger he didn’t like—unless you’re a cow. He does have a passionate opinion about the neighbor’s herd and isn’t afraid to share it.

This 9-year-old 25lb mixed breed (DNA below) is a portly gentleman with a lovable waddle and a low-maintenance medical need. Pooh has hypothyroidism (low thyroid) and takes a daily pill that costs just a few dollars a month (literally, just $3 through Chewy for a 30 day supply). Drop it in his kibble, and he’ll never know the difference.

He’s potty trained, crate trained, and currently working through some temporary side effects of his new thyroid medication, like increased thirst and potty breaks. But the good news? He’s improving every day—and in the meantime, he’s totally pee pad trained.
